[No.1] Histologic analysis following grafting of damaged extraction sockets using deproteinized bovine or porcine bone mineral: A randomized clinical trial.[Tae-Hwan Koo, Young Woo Song, Jae-Kook Cha, Ui-Won Jung, Chang-Sung Kim, Jung-Seok Lee]   /
[Clinical Oral Implants Research, 31(1)]   /   [14 November 2019]

Key Summary

Comparable histologic bone formation was found with THE Graft (DPBM) and Bio-Oss (DBBM) covered by collagen membranes in periodontally damaged extraction sockets. New bone formation varied widely at 4 months, with a tendency toward higher formation in sockets with an intact residual wall on either the buccal or lingual side.

Study Objective

To histologically analyze biopsy cores obtained at implant placement 4 months after grafting THE Graft (DPBM) or Bio-Oss (DBBM, control) in periodontally compromised extraction sockets.

[No.2] Three-dimensional assessment after maxillary sinus grafting with a bovine, a porcine, and a synthetic bone substitute material. A randomized controlled clinical trial.[Schmitt, Christian M / Wiesheu, Simon / Schlegel, Karl Andreas / Adler, Werner / Kesting, Marco R / Matta, Ragai E / Möst, Tobias]   /
[International Journal of Computerized Dentistry, 27(4)]   /   [9 December 2024]

Key Summary

Bio-Oss (DBBM) and THE Graft (DPBM) showed comparable volumetric graft stability and provided sufficient bone volume for implant placement. Osopia (BCP) was significantly inferior due to resorption. Bone substitutes with a certain degree of stability should be favored for sinus grafting because the outcomes are more predictable.

Study Objective

To evaluate the three-dimensional CBCT-based volumetric stability of THE Graft (DPBM) after two-stage lateral sinus floor augmentation, compared with Bio-Oss (DBBM, control) and Osopia (BCP).

[No.3] Alveolar ridge regeneration of damaged extraction sockets using deproteinized porcine versus bovine bone minerals: A randomized clinical trial.[Jung-Seok Lee, Jae-Kook Cha, Chang-Sung Kim]   /   [Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research, 20(5)]   /   [27 July 2018]

Key Summary

Both THE Graft (DPBM) and Bio-Oss (DBBM) maintained the grafted volume well in damaged extraction sockets, with only minor reduction at 4 months and no significant difference between them. Because individual outcomes varied widely, further evaluation is needed before routine clinical use.

Study Objective

To compare dimensional changes of the alveolar ridge 4 months after grafting THE Graft (DPBM) or Bio-Oss (DBBM, control) in periodontally damaged extraction sockets.

[No.4] Micro-CT and histological evaluation of alveolar ridge preservation with Bio-Oss®️ and THE Graft®️ : A randomized controlled trial[Lurong Jia, Tong Wang, Kai Dong, Quanlin Chen, Chao Wang, Wenjuan Zhou, Zhonghao Liu]   /
[Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices, 27]   /   [September 2025]

Key Summary

Both THE Graft (DPBM) and Bio-Oss (DBBM) effectively promoted bone regeneration in extraction sockets, and healing time influenced bone formation.

Study Objective

To compare micro-CT and histological characteristics of new bone in extraction sockets preserved with THE Graft (DPBM) or Bio-Oss (DBBM, control), and to assess whether healing time (3 vs 6 months) influences bone formation.

[No.5] Effect of Sticky Bone on ridge preservation in periodontally compromised posterior extraction sockets: a retrospective study[Wanqian Zheng, Zhiyuan Li, Yiyu Xiang, Chenxu Gao, Liwei Wu, Hongyu Zhu, Guang Hong, Sheng Zheng]   /   [BMC Oral Health]   /   [11 April 2026]

Key Summary

Within the limitations of this retrospective study, ridge preservation using Sticky Bone (THE Graft with PRF) and an A-PRF membrane was associated with less ridge reduction, more favorable radiographic volumetric changes, and a lower need for supplementary augmentation than natural healing in periodontally compromised extraction sockets.

Study Objective

To compare CBCT-based changes in alveolar ridge dimensions between periodontally compromised extraction sockets treated with ARP (Sticky Bone [THE Graft+PRF] plus an A-PRF membrane) and sockets left to heal naturally.

[No.6] Radiographic and Histologic Analysis 1–2 Years after Alveolar Ridge Preservation in Maxillary Premolar and Molar: A Case Report[Sung-Wook Yoon,Young Woo Song, Ui-Won Jung, Jae-Kook Cha]   /   [Applied Sciences]   /   [17 July 2021]

Key Summary

Both grafted sites showed newly formed bone densely filling the spaces between residual graft particles, extending to the most coronal portion 1–2 years after ARP. The hard bone density found at implant placement suggests that the grafted sites can act as stable peri-implant tissue. Since these are two cases without a control, the findings do not show a difference between the two materials.

Study Objective

To evaluate radiographic (CBCT) and histologic outcomes 1–2 years after alveolar ridge preservation with THE Graft (DPBM) in a maxillary molar and Bio-Oss Collagen (collagenated DBBM) in a maxillary premolar, both with apically involved periodontal defects.

[No.7] Does defect configuration affect the outcomes of alveolar ridge preservation? An experimental in vivo study[Dongseob Lee, Jin Uk Choi,Young-Chang Ko, Ki-Tae Koo, Yang-Jo Seol, Yong-Moo Lee, Jungwon Lee]   /   [Journal of Periodontal & Implant Science]   /
[February 2025]

Key Summary

Within the limitations of this study, ARP with THE Graft Collagen appeared to yield a higher percentage of mineralization than SH in compromised sockets, with a significant difference only in 3-wall defects at 12 weeks. Although the effect of the remaining bony walls was limited, their presence appeared to improve the percentage of mineralization in ARP.

Study Objective

To compare the bone healing potential of 1-, 2-, and 3-wall defects after alveolar ridge preservation with THE Graft Collagen (collagenated DPBM), and to evaluate ARP versus spontaneous healing in destructive sockets at 4 and 12 weeks.

[No.8] Alveolar ridge preservation of damaged or periodontally compromised extraction sockets with bovine- and porcine-derived block bone substitutes: A retrospective case-control study[Jae-Hong Lee, Yeon-Tae Kim, Seong-Nyum Jeong ]   /   [Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research]   /   [10 July 2023]

Key Summary

Alveolar ridge preservation with THE Graft Collagen showed comparable clinical, radiographic, and profilometric outcomes to Bio-Oss Collagen in damaged or periodontally compromised extraction sockets. Both block bone substitutes effectively limited post-extraction ridge resorption, confirming THE Graft Collagen as a highly reliable biomaterial alternative for socket preservation.

Study Objective

To evaluate and compare the clinical, radiographic (CBCT), and profilometric outcomes of alveolar ridge preservation (ARP) using bovine-derived (DBBM-C) versus porcine-derived (DPBM-C) block bone substitutes in damaged or periodontally compromised extraction sockets prior to implant placement.

[No.9] Alveolar Ridge Preservation of Damaged Maxillary Molar Extraction Sockets: A Retrospective Study[Jeong-Eun Yu, Yeon-Tae Kim, Seong-Nyun Jeong]   /   [Journal of Implantology and Applied Sciences]   /   [30 June 2025]

Key Summary

Within the limitations of this study, ARP with THE Graft Collagen in damaged maxillary molar sockets may help reduce the need for more invasive sinus augmentation procedures, and could be a valuable alternative in certain clinical scenarios.

Study Objective

To investigate whether ARP using DPBM with 10% collagen(Legograft ,a porcine-derived soft block bone) in damaged maxillary molar sockets minimizes vertical crestal bone changes and reduces the need for invasive sinus augmentation at implant placement.
